CONRAD is pleased to offer an exclusive behind the scenes look at an industrial reuse application in action. Join us for a fascinating tour of an EPCOR/Suncor Energy initiative in Edmonton. You’ll see how municipal wastewater effluent at EPCOR’s wastewater treatment facility is polished to high-grade process water for use in hydrogen cracking, in cooling towers and for general process water requirements at Suncor’s refinery. Submersed hollow fibre membranes are employed at EPCOR’s facility, removing microscopic impurities through ultra-filtration. When the high-grade process water is piped to the Suncor refinery it undergoes reverse osmosis, removing trace contaminants at the molecular and ionic levels.
You’ll find out how this innovative solution was developed and how it functions today.
